Clear, proportionate fees with published guideline rates.
Mediation fees are always quoted individually following a discussion of the parties' needs. Fees are clear, proportionate to the value and nature of the dispute, and based on factors such as complexity, importance and the financial circumstances of the participants. For non-monetary disputes (e.g. boundary issues), daily or hourly rates apply, and concessionary rates may be available where appropriate.
We aim to offer practical solutions at a cost acceptable to all parties. Guideline rates, usually split equally between participants, are provided below.
Guideline rates (in-person mediation)

What the fee includes
- All administration associated with the mediation
- Five hours' reading and preparation time
- Pre-mediation liaison with each of the parties and/or their lawyers
- Travel time
- An 8-hour mediation day
- If no settlement is achieved on the day, further work via telephone, video conferencing and/or email (within reason)
If reading and preparation time and/or the mediation day exceed the hours stated above, an hourly rate will apply, which is 10% of the overall fee divided into 15-minute units.
